About the artist
Art has been my lifelong companion. From my earliest memories, I have found a sense of inner peace and joy in the act of creation, feelings that have only deepened with time. My artistic journey is not just a pursuit; it is an expression of who I am as a person and of my love for animals — particularly the whimsical, often hilarious world of cats.
My artistic process began in high school when watercolors first captured my heart. Over time, I explored various mediums, from acrylics to digital illustrations, but I always felt a yearning to merge the spontaneity of watercolor with the precision of ink. This union reflects my desire to strike a balance between structure and playfulness—a balance that I believe is essential in both art and life.
I specialize in pen and ink watercolor drawings, a medium that allows me to explore the playful spirit of my feline subjects. My beloved Persian cat, Dickens, has been my most profound source of inspiration. His quirky personality and regal demeanor translate into my work, inviting viewers to experience the unique charm of cats.
Through my illustrations, I invite audiences to pause and appreciate the delightful absurdity of these creatures, to find joy in their playfulness, and perhaps see a reflection of themselves in their antics.
Thank you for allowing me to share my vision and artwork with you.
With warmth and creativity,
Andrea
